Who are we?

We are a full service hydraulic repair, machine/welding shop, and an industrial marine hardware store. We specialize in Commercial Fishing Vessels, and Heavy Equipment, servicing the Kenai Peninsula, Prince William Sound, and South Central and Western Alaska. We also get folks in our shop with all sorts of projects from underwater gold mining equipment, oil and gas drilling equipment, residential plumbing, even supplying material for building towers for off-grid wind turbines. If we don’t have it in stock, we can find it. We ship anywhere.

Welding and Machine Shop

You can depend on our experienced welders and machinists to get the job done right the first time. Complete with mills, drill presses, three lathes (one with a 12″ thru-hole) presses and brand new CNC mill and more. Desperate Marine has one of the most capable machine shops on the Kenai Peninsula.

We make custom propane hoses, fish pump hoses, hydraulics hoses, water & sewer, fuel transfer, air, water and oil and you name it. We also band hoses, pressure test hoses and make custom reducers and king nipples in 316 Stainless Steel, Black Pipe and Aluminum
We stock marine wire from 18/4 wire to 4/0 battery cable.
We stock, cut and thread aluminum, steel, 316 stainless steel pipe in from 1/4 inch to 4 inch in Schedule 40 and 80.
